t2, the big difference between 98 and now is that we had a very accomodating Fed back then that tossed in three quick interest rate cuts. now we have a renegade Fed chairman (albeit the same person) that is obsessed with bringing down the stock market to what "HE" deems to be fair prices. something tells me that we are nearing a bottom too...the only thing is that i'm a little gunshy and am content to sit on my current positions and wait it out. good luck everyone, preserve capital because you can't shoot if you don't have any ammo.
