Some numbers came out this morn, highlighted by slowing retail sales.. I agree with them.. Of course, all of Pavlov's dogs on SI sang the same old song about the cooking..

Well I get my numbers, first hand.. I get around a little.. For example, I just bought a damn good pair of running shoes on sale for under 30.00.. last year's model, Addidas or Reabocks, I can't remember which, doesn't matter.. I can get a good bottle of wine for under 10.00..

Clothing, everybody buys on sale.. Dockers on sale for 20-25.00.. Furniture, incredible Mexican pine for unreal low prices. Food, We pay so little of our income for food in this country, it is a crime.. and on and on.

I talked to my bro yesterday, he runs a sawmill in addition to the ranch... run of mill lumber orders, framing stuff etc,, are a trickle compared to last year.. Housing starts in the great northwest are down in some parts..

Wages, not much wage increases on the horizon, for the average person, unfortunately, according to a very close source..

Luxuries,, a little bump, but HK.. Stayed at a pretty nice resort for 150.00/ bucks a day recently..

Anyway, just my thoughts and experiences.

Well we didn't fall of that plastic edge as the collective wisdom of SI suggested we might.. Now they are all "dancing
on a pin edge" tonight,, to paraphrase "some quote ,,a blast from the past" in my memory bank...

I wasn't sure.. Most I read were pretty sure it was "crash city".. And now they all reversed on a dime and are now "long".. I don't know???

I also don't know how "long" this "blast" is going to last either.. We will see.

One thing I do know, I have some feel for reality, by understanding the fundamental back drop to things.. When I was first starting this, years ago, I read a quote from someone.. to the effect, "You will never meet a rich pure technician".. I believe it after fighting it for some time... But a person just can't compare current economic fundamentals to past e.fundamentals either.. That's apples and oranges too..

A person has to understand where they are " in space and time"

And to do this, someone has to move around, look around and listen around, both the real and now the cyber world. ESPECIALLY TO THE NEW ONES.. BECAUSE THEY HAVE A NEW
STORY THAT MIGHT BE WORTH LISTENING TOO.. I've heard the OLD, I learn from the new..

In this case, TA, everybody knows the old , rsi, stoch, macd etc.... In a dynamic changing environment, like a market we have to change.. Carrier pigeons are a little slow today.. IMO.
