Tim,

I am thinking of shorting some INTC

I think it is very risky. Make sure you have stomach for it, or, set a stop loss. You know that your losses are potentially infinite, right?

I have a horror story about one of my shorts: I shorted US Robotics, and I was too stubborn to cover, because I "knew" it was gong to crush. Eventually, my wife overrode my decision, I covered at about the top, with a huge loss. Well, subsequently the stock crashed along with 3com, but that's another story.

Joe

Tim,

Just know that shorting Intel is tough because it has such strong institutional support; they can cause it to turn on a dime.

A better short is something like QLGC when they bought ANCR which also was a great short.
