X??,

In one of my previous posts I suggested that I feared a Democracy where Ignorance is given a Vote. And judging from some of the members on this board, my opinion remains unchanged. A democracy cannot flourish when "Stupidity" steps into the voting booth.

The purpose of boards such as this one is to intelligently discuss and argue different points of view in the hope that the Right will persuade Wrong, and Wrong will learn from Right.

There are many here like myself who've put emotions aside and listened to both sides of the debate. Having heard all sides, we formed an informed opinion on this matter. On the other hand, there are those who entered the discussion with fingers in their ears and their eyes tightly closed. They shoot off their mouths and refuse to consider even the most logical counter-opinion. When someone takes the attitude that he has THE TRUTH and that nothing will change his opinion, then I no longer see a point in continuing the discussion

An intelligent person does NOT know everything. An idiot, on the other hand, KNOWS everything.
