DDI certainly knows how to negotiate down to the wire!

I dare say that they really will decide just before applying and Q! had better get it right! Q! will feel very squeezed and will very much want DDI to go cdma2000. DDI should [I guess] get a very good deal except that Irwin and co might simply KNOW that W-CDMA is a dog and Q! might not be very flexible at all, preferring to apply themselves, knowing that W-CDMA doesn't have a chance. In which case DDI probably knows that too and they'll cave at the last minute.

Nokia had better be ready to sign for cdma2000 ASICs on Friday. Actually, I think they might be better to sign on Thursday while there is still some doubt that DDI will go with Q!
