I'm not at all sure - when you do some FA you might just come down to the old stand bys - earnings, cash flow, debt equity ratios, reserves, balance sheet strength - giving the ability for expansion through acquisition. The business of hedging (and few are nearly fully hedged) vs. unhedged is too simplistic.

NEW ORLEANS, May 10 (Reuters) - Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.(NYSE:FCX - news) said on Wednesday Indonesia's government had not told the company directly that it might suspend production at the Grasberg copper and gold mine in Irian Jaya after an accident last week which left four workers missing and presumed dead.

never converted to fundamental...unfortunately the technically strongest in the gold sector, are the big wigs...Am looking to enter NEM if they can nosedive it under 25.00 to my 24.00-24.50 buy area...holding my AEM at 5 5/8 and PDG.....IMHO, the strongest are PDG in the big class, followed by AEM in the middle class, and BMG in lower class...Looking at BMG in the 1 15/16 area...
