Good Morning V:

After receiving (yet another margin call) several days ago, I sold out of my position of BRCM and picked up the Jan 01 160 leaps, then bought back a portion of my position. The good thing about leaps is that I can write cc's on them. Now can I do that for the remainder of the year if it expires on Jan/01?

Now here is a challenging question. When do you know when to sell (now that's the million dollar question!). Over the years I watched my portfolio swell and contract looking as if I am going nowhere fast. The only thing I end up having to show for myself is a case of GERD and hypertension, not to mention more then my share of punched out sheet rock in my office (very therapeutic at times, and keeps Home Depot in business).
