Interface Holder Discloses Talks About Purchase of Company
By Siobhan Hughes

Washington, May 10 (Bloomberg) -- Investor David Zimmer, who
controls a 9.97 percent stake in Interface Systems Inc., disclosed
that he is participating in negotiations that could lead to the
purchase of the software tools company by a third party.

Zimmer disclosed the negotiations in a regulatory filing. He
didn't identify the potential buyer of Interface Systems, which is
based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Company officials couldn't be reached for comment. Interface
Systems shares fell 1 7/8 to 12 and have fallen almost 52 percent
so far this year.

Zimmer is the chief executive of Congressional Securities
Inc., which discontinued its brokerage business last month. He
holds 99,400 Interface Systems shares, while customers of
Congressional Securities hold 350,600 Interface Systems shares.
The combined stake totals just under 10 percent and is worth $5.4
million at current prices.
