I saw another article that referred to mom as the Common Law Wife of El Loco. I'm not sure what Cuba views as common law, but isn't it quite a lengthy amount of time here in the few states where it's recognized at all?
I think referring to El Loco as Elian's step-father is ridiculous. He lived with the mother for a brief period.
