Merrill Lynch's analyst on CNBC was pretty honest about the current market mentioning that there were big price markups without real volume.

Again, the theme is the "long term". Well, if in 20 years the market's going to be higher that is great, but if the DOW is going to 8000 or less over the next 2 years, maybe they should be telling me to raise cash and step aside.
No one on TV presents the possibility of a break from here.

that would be the NEXT PPI that might be affected by the surge in the CRB. this one was sampled around the time of a trough in the energy complex and the industrial metals. you saw that effect in the NAPM prices paid. you can bet the prophet's beard that it will come in tame and will be spun for all it's worth.
