So we need more back filling to remove the weak hands. We have to wait for signs
of a slowing economy first before it's time to go back in.

This sums it up. Also it helps to stay away from companies with questionable earnings growth prospects. Go with the companies that you know will grow earnings (and the ones that you don't have to overpay for in the process).

As a LTB&H investor, I own everything that I want to own at the present time with no desire to deploy additional cash in the form of further margin debt. If I were in cash, I would not deploy it until the market had some extended gains on favorable economic data.

I have gone against my past tendancies, and put the bulk of my capital into common rather than options. I have large Leap positions in GBLX, WCOM, and ICIX, but hold mostly shares in my other holdings. The purpose of this is primarily to act as a hedge to remain invested while maintaining safe levels of equity.

Regards,

LoF

PS My top picks: SDLI (buy), NTAP (buy), RCNC (hot buy), GBLX (buy) & perhaps LVLT (buy).
