What do you guys make of Dell's price action this morning (down). I'm very worried about the affect of Dell's forward looking statments on tomorrow's market. I'm thinking about dumping everything but AMD today.

Pravin,

Everyone is expecting the worst from Dell.....isn't that when just the opposite usually happens?

ted

Comments:

(1) Never heard of Dell...They mustn't sell spry Athys, the world's fastest and smoothest microprocessor!

(2)Kidding aside, sort of like AMAT yesterday with caution being exercised ahead of earnings...

(3) Imho (and this might surprise you), AMD is so superior to alternative investments (even good alternatives) by almost any analysis model, that I am not holding any other investment...Only one other time have I been 100% invested in one company and that was TXN in 1995...As I've said before, technical and fundamental patterns of AMD today are very similar to those of TXN in 1995...A track record of 9 months of excellent delivery, sold out flash and Dresden about to come on stream suggests to me that there is ever so much potential upside on AMD...just no need for me to spend time investing in other possibilities this year! Come December 31, 2000, I'm guessing AMD will be multiples of its current $85! (Market risk will continue to rear its ugly head as it did the past 3 days, but AMD fundamentals and the consequent higher AMD price will ultimately prevail over negative market risk in any prolonged tug of war!)

Pravin,

I see a lot of market risk right now.

I just went to 50% cash today.

Decided to sell into the rally.

I am also short 2K QQQ at 83 as of this morning.

Just my .o2.

regards,

Kash
