Here's something interesting to think about... I'm reading today's business section which has an article about the impending arrival of the Playstation 2 to the US. Supposedly happening in October, early enough for the Christmas buying season...

What's this got to do with QCOM? 3/4 of the way into the article, the president of Sony Computer Entertainment America states "Playstation 2 is the future of entertainment, period." Ok, some corporate apple polishing, but so what? The article continues... Sony did not give a date for the release of the hard drive or when the consoles will be able to go online. Nor did it say what technology they would use to connect the Playstations to the Internet, but a Sony Executive said wireless technologies were promising." So the gears in my head start turning, and I wonder what wireless technology might be usable on such a large scale as the US, could deliver high bandwidth data transmissions, and be available sometime in the near future. This sound like something right up HDR's alley to anyone else? Oh, and there's that other little tidbit about QCOM and Sony having a fair amount of previous joint corporate experience manufacturing consumer products...

Just something to keep in the back of your minds....

Patience is a virtue, Frank

Every time I get discouraged about QCOM, I get on my Sprint PCS cell phone and talk to a friend. It's as clear as a bell. Clearer even than my wall phone. It never drops calls. My old AT&T cell phone rarely completed a call without dropping. Quality rules.

QCOM's fundamentals are far superior to January of this year. Sometimes even the most educated people need to be whacked over the head with a hammer.

Q rocks. It's just a matter of time.
