John: I agree, after watching the markets and counting on big gains, work seems like a second-best way to make a living -- I get seduced by it myself. As for this bounce GST, I am trying to keep this in perspective. I find there is nothing wrong with working and I believe investing (not speculating) is to increase one's networth so that one has enough when they retire. I made an error two years ago focusing too much on the market and not enough on work. Work is as much of a sure thing as anyhting whereas the market is not.
