Allan, I think you done broke the code. Your post reflects my take exactly. When I first read the Voltaire Philosophy it clicked and I thought 'why are you gambling? this is a sure thing if you can find a few stable stocks.' It still amazes me that even here on the Porch the majority of folks still seem to be hooked on making the high risk gambling plays. Is it the thrill? Sting

Wow Allan. That was great! You nailed it. This place isn't merely about investment strategies and making money. It's bigger than that. It's about attitude. The attitude that lets you enjoy life to the fullest and enables you to roll with the punches. And it's about optimism too and friendships and generosity. It's infectious to boot.
