The assumption is that PALM is still a $30 once the distribution occurs and the dilution occurs. The assumption is that COMS can maintain some semblance of market share in markets they have chosen to continue to target. Remember, COMS was showing flat revenue growth with PALM - what will it be without it and without their enterprise business. It's a new company and for that reason we don't know what we really have. On the other hand CSCO has had 40 quarters of making earnings and three years straight of beating earnings. Revenue growth continues to accelerate.

FYI: COMS earnings are a function of cost cutting and investments - probably a better way to look at this apples for apples is to look at earnings from operations.
