Maurice:

The SEC and SI police should be after the real manipulators who haunt these threads occasionally and are everpresent on the Yahoo threads.

Where was the 'wavering on the validity/legality' quoted please?

"We do respond to regulatory agencies that inform us of illegal practices, but that area is not our expertise," says Byran Burdick, a spokesman. "As an investor I would be suspect of what this guy is doing."

The first sentence seems to state a SI position on response to illegal activities. The second states a position from the same SI spokesperson, in which he suspects what we are doing. Seems like SI has staked out a position that they aren't sure, i.e. they may be wavering.
