that put selling btw. puts a floor under the stock...as the MMs buying the puts hedge by buying the stock. when Dell pre-announced not too long ago, they sold 40,000 put contracts right at the requisite strike to support the stock that very same afternoon. the shenanigans going on in this market are incredible. btw, several Congress-men have stopped the FASB's plan to do away with pooling of interest accounting. they say "the impact this might have on the economy needs to be studied further". CSCO can be relied upon to generously contribute to the campaign funds of the representatives involved. and the great pyramid scheme lives on.
