Tom has a new article on his web site on Piii performance

tomshardware.com

The article seems to confirm that the Coppermines don't overclock very well. Getting them to work above 800 MHz is very difficult. Based on this, it seems that the new stepping only added about 66 MHz to Coppermine.

I don't know who it was (Otellini) who said there may be 2 more clockspeed increases (beyond 1 GHz) left in Coppermine. I think the evidence is mounting that it is a total BS.

Re: If AMD trades through $88, and I see the aftermarket B/A is now $88/$89, look for a fairly rapid test of that all-time high of $92-7/8...

NG,
The afterhours action almost would make you think that someone has leaked DELL will start using AMD chips. I doubt this, CC just started so I'll let you know.

Thanks for your thoughts on price movement. It will be a rocky week I think.

DELL just pulled an INTC, they took 1 cent investment gain higher than they guided analysts

I'll let the thread know if anything else interesting is said.
