Any particular reason why the owner of the puts should wait another 11 days until Monday, May 22, to collect his $62,500? BP No other reason except that in my somewhat limited put selling experience they've always waited until expiration before... This was the first time someone has exercised before the date of expiration (for me). I was just surprised as I was planning a repair strategy.
