The internet and concerts......Z can you imagine how much interest would have been created if the net was available in 1968 and the Beatles had decided to do a free live webcast?

Probably would have sold a lot of PC's :)


Thanks, Dennis, that really makes me feel old. 1968 doesn't seem that long ago, yet when I think of how far electronics has progressed since then...I was trying to learn how to use a slide rule about that time (though I am still listening to the same set of speakers I had then)

But I do wonder how difficult and expensive it would be to connect the large (and small) music venues to the internet. I'm sure the opportunity to watch almost any concert on any date would drive the expansion of bandwidth. And the ability to save them would sell a lot of 100GB+ hard drives. Somewhat along those lines:
