If you've followed the palladium wars or the Russian loan crisis you'd think twice about trading in your dollars, no matter how overpriced, for rubles. When the going gets tough, the oil gets nationalized. But this is totally predictable, that since the price of oil has risen, Russia would sell off a little lukoil, in an attempt to monetize foreign ignorance about business in the land of Putin.
