Yes- if the people want that form of government it is an internal matter. It is only when a nation aggresses outside it's boundaries that I believe in international interference- with weapons and troops. But I believe that morally it would be better if we protected ALL countries - not just the ones with strategic resources.

But then I prefer a rational approach that preserves national autonomy and international harmony to the maximum extent. If you pick and choose conflicts- and leave doubt in the minds of aggressive tyrants- you will constantly have outward aggression. We should have a strong policy, it should be clear, and it should be as just as possible. IMO
