Drew,
Hi!!

RE: Dell's revenue jumped to $7.28 billion compared with $5.54 billion in the year-ago quarter.

Schneider attributed the strong showing to better-than-expected sales to businesses, lower operating costs and stable prices for computer parts.

Jaruzelski, the analyst, also noted that Dell's product shipments in the first quarter increased 32 percent, more than twice the industry average.

``That's not good news for Compaq,'' Jaruzelski said, referring to the Houston-based company that is now No. 2 in U.S. shipments of personal computers.
