Business vs. Service Model Motives..... I'd like Mike From Microsoft comment on the following: BUSINESS with sacrifice truth and values for money SERVICE will never sacrifice truth and values for money Liberals = GET* Conservatives = GOT* * = money What are your core values? Where are these values in relation to Microsoft? Do you feel confident to express YOUR individual opinion in relation to both without fear? The reason why I'm posing this is that I firmly believe that BUSINESS models don't give control to customers. In fact most companies that ascribe to this "mindset" believe they "own" their clients. And when it comes to "service", why it's just something they "have to do". "improve on" to "compete", etc. Exposed to the core, companies that honor BUSINESS models are nothing more, nothing less than time/trust conscription camps - relative to both employees and customers. For the core VALUE is expressed in dollar terms. I happen to think that BUSINESS models are mere facades. Regardless of the smoke, fire, control, structure and fear they think they can still produce - pull over people's eyes - INDIVIDUALS throughout the world are getting "smarter." Just look around you. Corporations are scrambling to adjust to demands for "flex-time" "this-time" "that-time" as more fathers and mothers and INDIVIDUALS take more responsibility and ownership for the two VALUES realities which should transcend everything else: TIME and TRUST. We all have a limited amount of TIME in this life. And there is just not enough TRUST in the world. The more companies learn to TRUST, the more they learn to SERVE. The less companies TRUST, the more they learn to withhold and take - ie. BUSINESS not SERVICE. For companies like Microsoft to get more output for less - ie. less money, control and structure - they are going to have to give up the ghost and completely end the double-dip two horse labor strategy: the haves vs. the have nots. The way Microsoft created political labor "classes" was/is WRONG. It's been tolerated only because of one thing: money and the power of the internal politics behind the "haves." This cross political dual-labor class pollination has served Microsoft very well, but it's also the seamy side to this "business success" story. In traditional "business" models money and politics rule. But The Internet Spirit is exposing these companies for what they are. My bet is on SERVICE: openness, transparency, truth, freedom and rights for INDIVIDUALS. Peace. GO!!
