Well, let's see...
You sold around $130...
Your cost basis was probably around $10 if we assume you kept what you had in the past...
So on a hundred shares you made $13,000 minus $1,000
equals $12,000 in capital gains...
We'll give you the benefit of the doubt and call them long term...
so that's maybe 30% taxed with fed and state...
so you really made $8,400.
so you would have to buy Q back at $94 to make the insightful sale a wash...
and below that to make the sale have any logic to it at all.
so we hit $94 the other day at the low...
yeah, you bought all your original position back, right...

mike, I really don't know why you suddenly turned on me some time back...I really think you're a good guy...that's why I wanted to meet ya...(well, maybe all my stupid comments here for comic relief because it couldn't be because I helped to chase of the moonies)...I just disagree with you on the TA/trading thing as the above illustration provides my reasons why...(unless of course you are doing your stuff in an IRA...but even then you'll have to make two VERY correct decisions to make all the worry worth it)...

Well, whatever...as we say on the beach.
If I'm ever out your way I'll see if I can buy some art from ya. I think perhaps there we have a common interest.

With Respect,
<H>
