Re: Brain/Brawn Companies- MTZ, IFCI, WATR

Frank- Thanks for the news about MTZ. It is one of the companies I follow in the sector. I had not realized that MTZ was dumping all their Latin America investments and concentrating on the US/Canadian market. If I had, I would have been an investor when I first learned of this exit strategy. Unfortunately it's too late in the respect MTZ is valued pretty much like all the companies I follow in the sector such as; ABTE, ARGX, DY, IFCI, PWR, and WATR.

IFCI got hit hard during the recent thrashing. Along with WATR and ABTE. I'm of the belief IFCI and WATR are becoming nice values at these levels. ABTE I don't have an opinion on.

IFCI has the most potential(of course IMO) as a pure play in the twisted copper/coax/wireless buildout world. It has the patented product that makes it attractive for wireless SPs to use their services. It got bashed hard and the only thing I can figure is because of that lone CPA out there that did major damage to DY may be at it again with IFCI now. DY was able to shed the stigma of being targeted by this lone gunman. See: Message 11080010 ...if you want details on what he did to DY. Which by the way, was totally unwarranted in my opinion. At the time, I talked directly to Tom Pledger for the direct scoop and it turns out Howard didn't even bother to contact DY before publishing the damaging report. It wouldn't surprise me if he never contacted IFCI either(assumming he did do a report on IFCI).

WATR is not a pure play. IMO that is why it's valued at: PSR 1.48 / PE of 23 / PB 3. Wish I had more time to evaluate it's other two sectors for growth possibilites. I'm fairly confident it's telecommunications division will do well. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS If anyone is interested in any brain/brawn company, although always fundamentally sound, and somewhat boring, their stock prices are volatile and not for the faint hearted.
