JFD, Dell is gaining x86 server share, like SUN is gaining Unix-based market share... The server market is not as Monolithic as you make it, it actually has sub-categories in it... Dell, winning against ComPaq, HP, & IBM in x86 market SUN, winning against HP, IBM and whoever else is left... DELL & SUN do not compete against each other much, they server different markets within the "Enterprise/E-Commerce Server, Storage umbrellas" See, it's easy .. Take care Jean. P.S. Sun's storage story is also the same, as Dell is winning there too by selling NTAP filers, and SUN is a solid #2 in storage , after EMC. IBM is a has-been in All it's markets..
