Under the deal, Cisco will exchange about $800 million of its common stock for all outstanding Qeyton shares. Cisco shares closed Thursday at $60.25. The company plans to account for the acquisition, expected to close in the fourth quarter, as a purchase. Cisco plans to take a one-time charge of up to five cents a share for research and development.
