<<I still say the FED only raises 25 basis points.>>

Morning Tom.....PLEASE dont say that. I would just prefer they raise the crap a full friggin point and be done with it......

Seriously though, what will .25 do? I think the key is going to be towards the bias. .25 and some lossening of the bias would be awesome, but Greeny needs to take a chill in order to get the fear out of this market. I will take the .50, because it is what is expected, as long as he "eases up a bit" at the same time.

Great day to ya..

Keith

Hi Volt! well you're right about the 1/4 pt. increase but how should one deal with the uncertainty Big Al wants to leave us contemplating?

This game is getting dumber and more boring.

You can move your pawns only so many times, sooner or later you've got to move the Bishop or Knight; Or perhaps expose the Queen........Hello Hillary ;) <gg>

What is Al waiting for? "The end of the world as we know it" REM

the stupid talk of 50bpt Fed hike now will abate
I predict 25 bpt hike next week, continued gradualism, as they have espoused for months, which lessens the risk of excessive tightening and harm to the economy down the road

I dont like what the Fed and Greinstein are attempting
but I say 25 bpt hike
the consequent reaction by the markets is likely to be an attitude that the Fed is NOT done, more 25 bpt hike or hikes coming down the road
the stock market will continue to look over its shoulder, will be unable to mount sustained rallies, and will continue to base along for another few/several weeks

bring on the presidential party conventions

dont forget mother on Mother's Day this Sunday
I dont think Greenspan has a mother
he was borne of a muscrat, a hairless muscrat that babbled endlessly prior/during/after she gave birth, in a tongue unrecognized even by fellow muscrat nobility and commoners

V, respectfully disagree on the rate call. Put me down for 50 basis points. I'd really like to seem them go for the full 50 and then take a neutral wait-and-see approach going forward. Given the PPI #s, it could happen.
