There is someone on this thread who posted about MMC (MultiMedia Card) functionality being added to the latest MSM5100 CDMA chipset. (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=13677299)

Well, I went to the SanDisk Shareholders' meeting about a week and a half ago and they were very surprised about that, despite the earlier announcements that indicated MMC would be included in earlier generations of upcoming chipsets.

I thought I would post the following...

Here is a photo of the SanDisk CEO, Dr. Eli Harari, with a Korean cell phone that sports a built-in MP3 player. It is my understanding that the QCOM chipsets will allow for integration of the MP3 functionality and an MMC slot with little incremental cost to the OEM...

This is a better look at an MMC. It is a SanDisk product private labelled by Siemens in this instance. (I took the picture myself and then did this rendering on Microsoft Picture It! on my desktop.)
