Max, Perry, I just finished installing a Toshiba cable modem from Time Warner - Road Runner. I couldn't get DSL for another year. Here are my test results: Speedus.com 800k Toast net 630k Road Runner 3 meg In spite of the inflated numbers from RR. I'm very pleased so far. Hookup incurred a charge for a 3Com fast ethernet card, and dropping a coax into my study ~$80. Rate is 39.95 per mo if you have cable service, otherwise $44.95. They hooked up within two weeks of order. Tech was competent, although we had problems that were related to my computer, which I later resolved. I love getting a full page photo in less than a blink of an eye. Now, I'm finding that the delays are not on my side, but at the url servers. Not all, some are instantaneous. jack Hutchison
