On the other hand, VIA Technologies has been going up on the expectation that it may profit from Intel's "stumble".

Via closed on Friday at NT$518 (intraday high in April was NT$629).

Someone will be telling us next that Pat Gelsinger was standing on the grassy knoll, and that Microsoft is conducting nuclear tests near Mt Rainier!

I don't think Intel would stoop to such subterfuge, when all they needed to do was claim a yield problem and restrict supply of the MTH if they wanted to stop Taiwan. Think about the consequences if an e-mail were to surface in court about this alleged strategy; it's far too much of a risk for a corporation scared of Anti-Trust to take.

Next conspiracy theorist step up to the plate please?
