Gene:
AFFECTED - HP Kayak XM600 SDRAM
POTENTIALLY AFFECTED - HP Kayak XU800 SDRAM

Thank you for confirming that HP was using the DIMM riser board as indicated by no change in motherboard. Intel has not acted on the 840 chipset solution as of yet but I have yet to see 1 Intel OR840 ever hit the distribution channels yet.
I guess HP will give XM600 owners PC600 RDRAM. This story is as confusing as ever. I think from my previous queries on Ingram Mico's web site that there are quantities however limited of HP RDRAM available to be sold. I would have to believe that if HP states that they can rectify the problem by end of May, the number of XM600 systems is limited either with SDRAM or RDRAM installed.
