I'm afraid we are residing in alternate universes.

As a Q long, the ultimate result of the debate doesn't concern me because I believe that Q will get paid regardless of whether DS CDMA or some other flavor prevails. Moreover, I think Q will lead in DS ASIC sales and development. Despite this, I am of the opinion that it is senseless from a purely technical standpoint to go with DS. Perhaps not politically.

What about some info on DS ASICs that work?

You stated:

Of course the main issue here is how sweet the deal DDI got was in the end. You have two desperate negotiating parties here - Motorola absolutely has to announce 3G customers right now and Qualcomm absolutely has to announce at least one cdm2000 operator outside USA to keep the standard on life support.

Oh, dear. We do indeed have a failure to communicate.

Do you actually think that existing non-US operators of CDMAOne networks are going to reject CDMA2000 out-of-hand despite the obvious cost and (in my view) time-to-rollout advantages?
