Ian - You have a point, but with Rod it's largely a self-inflicted wound. Each time Rod raises an admittedly credible issue, he seems to follow it up by taking a dump on the person, as well as the position, taken on the other side. JC, to his credit, has tried (see 8964 & 8987), but received nothing but scornful accusations that he was a Corel plant just because he chose to argue w/ Rod. If you read between the lines on this board you'll see we all have issues with Dr. C and management, but the fact remains that he's been operating the company since 1983(?) which is roughly equivalent to ten million .com dog years. Anybody who doesn't think that software is in a rough patch right now with the uncertainty surrounding Mr. Softy, the incredible market competition and the anybody's guess about which OS folks may choose going forward is delusional. Who knows - maybe Cowpie can convince some portion of the market that betting on MSFT may be a bad play for the next two or three years. Rod's tired and incessant argument that Corel recycled previously developed product (my! what a revelation in the software industry!) ignores the hundreds of other companies out there that do or have done the same thing. As for me, I agree with Mr. Bean - anybody who doesn't have a sense of humor (are you with me here Rod?) can post on the Corel - Investors with no Humor board. If I was Rod (and I'm glad I'm not), I'd be a little concerned with potential action regarding business libel or tortious interference with business.
