Bull, Here is another news story re PKD's Caspian well.

ALMATY, May 12 (AFX) - Offshore Kazakhstan International Operating Co - a consortium comprising Agip SpA, BG PLC, BP Amoco PLC, Statoil AS, Mobil Corp, Royal Dutch/Shell Group and TotalFina - will make a statement about the size of oil reserves in the Kazakh part of the Caspian Sea when drilling and tests have been completed, either at the end of August or September, a spokeswoman said.

Oil industry analysts have estimated that the field - known as the East Kashagan well - will contain around 30 bln barrels of oil equivalent, making it one of the world's largest known oil fields.

Kazakh Prime Minister Kasymzhomart Tokayev was quoted by Interfax as saying: "Representatives of the company OKIOC are cautiously talking about the existence of several Tengiz."

He was referring to the country's biggest onshore field, which is estimated to contain 6-9 bln barrels of oil.

"If the data is confirmed we could say that Kazakhstan will be one of the world's oil powers," he was quoted by Interfax as saying.

The spokeswoman from OKIOC said it is too early to talk about reserves. The drilling was successful and good results were obtained, she said.
