The entire transcript of the hearing is available at www.herald.com (the online Miami Herald). Interesting stuff, much better than articles, I'm wading through it now. For instance, Judge Wilson was very skeptical about ELian's ability to understand what applying for asylum meant, and whether or not just signing his name to the paper really meant he was "applying for asylum."

Good to see that father Juan is continuing the fine tradition of allowing Elian to be exploited (at fundraising dinners.) Or is Elian under joint Juan/Clinton/Reno/Castro custody? Mi hijo indeed. The crap is only getting deeper. Send him back..maybe he will become a baseball player and defect after the 2016 Olympics. Clinton/Castro! One is a dictator, the other a wannabe.
