I am afraid you have descended into a Byzantine world where logic has no relevance in the face of ideology.

I think I see much the same kind of blind allegiance in some of the penny stocks, where only when the CEO goes to jail and the stock stops trading will the loyalists believe that there may have been something not right going on.

I think too much reason can be hazardous to your ideology.

Not only would they take a son away from his loving father, but leave him in the custody of a family rife with criminality, non-employment ("unemployed" means you're actually looking for a job), drunkenness, and hysteria.
