PHLX TO BEGIN TRADING OPTIONS ON AT&T WIRELESS GROUP

PHILADELPHIA, APRIL 27, 2000 - - The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX)
announced today that it will begin trading put and call options on AT&T Wireless
Group (option/stock symbol: AWE), a spin-off of AT&T, upon the opening of
trading on Thursday, May 11, 2000.

The specialist unit for AT&T options will be Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, who
will be offering an automatic execution (AUTO-X) guarantee of up to 50 contracts
for orders executed through AUTOM, PHLX's automatic execution system for equity
and sectors index options. Additional information such as strike prices, initial
expiration months and position limits will be announced at a later date.

stocks, 900 equity options, ten sectors index options, and 100 currency pairs,
