George, i think we're on the cusp of a playable move up in gold...i remember well that when the dollar got smashed the last time, the same thing happened: gold was just sitting there, while the XAU began to move higher. then we had that absolutely stunning move following the Washington agreement. something similar is about to happen imo...be patient. we don't need a total systemic collapse to get it moving. remember, every day the supply/demand deficit takes a little more physical metal out of the system. this is even more true of the silver market, as i have frequently mentioned here.

regards,

hb

George, things (unfortunately) take time.

i'm kicking meself this week. i invested in a jr. biotech at as low as 50 cents less than 2 years ago, and long sold my position. for one thing i overwatched the thing. they got bought out this week at 4 bucks. even last xmas, the stock was not much higher than where i sold it at, but when it moved, it moved in SPADES (a 2.5 bagger in 5 months).so patience is the lesson me thinks !

j6p does chase things and unfortunately for our side gold hasn't yet moved enough for him/her to chase. one individual i know who bought a nas fund at nas 5k has a hubbie who bought ag twenty years prior at 38 bucks !

j6p will chase the pm's again. wish i could say when but i do believe they will

regards
ike

George, don't forget 1998. When the market made a double bottom, XAU didn't go up the first time (in fact it collapsed), but then it doubled in the next month as the market hit bottom a second time and the stability of the financial system came into question. The Nasdaq drop last month was only round one.

And when everyone agrees with you and becomes bearish on gold, then it will rise.

My investment in GOLD looked good for about an hour when it was up 50%, but it was a short lived spike.
