Of course that depends on your provider and the number of people on your trunk. I'm on @home in Sarasota, Florida. The service here is rocket fast. I have acheived speeds in excess of 8meg downstream. Also, DSL lines are also shared, there are just not shared from the switch to y our home. Once you get past the switch, your are in the data stream with everything else your phone company is transmitting :) p.s. I am one of those experts :) I have been in the IT field for 29 years Mickey
