Any thoughts why the DDI deal is being treated as a non-event?

When people say QCOM is a buy, they rationalize it by saying that all these great things will happen (CDMA expansion, etc.) That's why I bought (about a year ago).

But if we all buy the stock expecting this good news, who's left to buy it now.

What I'm trying to say is that QCOM's '99 run-up was in anticipation of all this good news -- and even at $100, a lot of news is already built in. From here on we will have to rely on earnings and NEW technology like HDR to get the stock moving. Everybody already knows the world is going to CDMA.
