Chuck, I think you'll find that if a 10 MB file contains one line of code that could be upgraded (say 100 bits) it is better to replace the whole file as updated on the client, rather than write a program that would open the existing file on the client replace the code.

This could add up to a lot of MB quickly, but who cares, disc space is cheap and transmission is free.

True, I don't have to pay a Sun programer $225 an hour to personally correct my computer, but what the hey.
