it could well be that this could turn out to hurt Japan at the margin. however, i'm not so sure that the proposal will be voted down. surely there's intense behind-the-scenes lobbying aimed at seeing it through. even easy Al has already came out in favor. i am also in favor btw. as free trade benefits us all. the expected failure of the vote may explain why QCOM can't get out of its funk in spite of repeated pimping by various brokers....
