OT Bush Plan My point was that in this plan, there will be people who opt in who shouldn't. Some of those will invest very poorly. Some of those will not be able to afford the loss. What, then, do you do for those people? This is part of the cost of the plan. Has Bush done any investigation on what that cost actually turns out to be? Is it worth it? What do we gain? An extra few percent on 2% on a small percent of my retirement? Is that worth it? I don't know, because I don't have the data. Be very careful when experimenting with a safety net (but don't stop trying to make a better one). Tom
