I've had the same problem with UBID, and Ben is right. Your only hope is the credit card company. Stop payment now while you still can. Since Egghead sold you the machine, and billed your card, they need to make good. Don't bother talking to HP, hold Egghead accountable. You don't have to pay for defective merchandise.
