It's not quite that simple on the PC side, as they still have to log on to your machine. Most people do not keep a password on their machines, and even if they do, they do not disable annonymous access to it. The worst danger is via FTP if they can get your IP. But then again, a lot of this sort of stuff can be done via DSL also. The simple answer is that you whould not be on the net at all without a good firewall and anti-virus running at all times.
