It is a rebuttal to George Gilder's WSJ editorial "AT & T's Wireless Debacle", written by Rod Nelson, Chief Technology Officer of AT & T Wireless and posted on AT & T Infocenter which is the company's internal website.

Do I understand this correctly to mean that this is not the official response that will appear in the WSJ? I'd love to see this printed in the WSJ. It would bring the debate to the masses. I can't believe that such blatant misinformation would be allowed to appear in the WSJ without further analysis. Of course, I'm still an idealist.

Also, here's my two cents:

There are more than 11 million paying TDMA customers in North American, compared to 7 million claimed by the CDMA Development Group.

According to the CDG website, as of January 1, there were 16 million CDMA users in North America almost 5 million in the Caribbean and Latin America.

For the sake of AWE shareholders, I hope their legal department is better than their technology department.
