The Securities and Exchange Commission doesn't require those making tender offers for less than 5% of the outstanding shares to file anything with the SEC. It does, however, warn investors to take the utmost care in responding to these so-called mini-tenders.

I had no idea......what a scam. Poor MAT shareholders were screwed no matter which way they turned. At least I still have my shares. Best of luck to all those who tendered. It sounds like the shares are mostly intact at Paine Webber.

Thanks for the link. I notified Dan C. of thestreet.com and the New York Times about this and they both did articles, not that it did much good. Some people where enthused to see my name in the NYT front business page. Such an honor, not.

My expensive lawyer said that we should be getting back 95% of our shares. Its beena year, and there have been many promises. We'll see!
